Advice from Adrian Morrow

The best thing you can do as a journalism student is get experience outside the classroom. Whether it’s volunteering for a student paper, interning at a local TV station or freelancing for a magazine, you should start getting clippings or compiling your demo reel while you’re in school. Classes will teach you the skills you need, but they won’t get you a job. The top thing employers look at is your real-world work.
